Well, I got my pin, and I have decided to keep the SSFIIX, so it's officially off the market... which is good, since I never wanted to sell it anyway!

Looking to get my first pin, so I think it's time to sell this thing. I would like to get $300 plus shipping. No trades at the moment, as I'm going for cash to buy something locally. Super Street Fighter II X (Turbo)

Works great, comes with a USA A board.

The quick check for Phoenix:

Phoenix boards have the "Pheonixed Edition" logo right under the CAPCOM logo, whenyou fist start the game.

Also, if you hold down the TEST MENU button on the side of the "A" board, and POWER the board up, the game will enter the PHOENIX SUB-MENU, for region setup and juke-box stuff.

The quick check for Battery:

Jest get a small flash light and peek tough the air vents on the front and back of the "B" board. And look near the back right corner of the board (the side opposite the game ID sticker) for a battery.

Some times the fort is easier, and sometimes the back, depends on your eyes and the size of your light.

Good luck with the sale. GMC is a fun game. And the green boards are the EVO Tournament Standard.

Yup, sounds like a Battey Board.

Yeah, buyer will most likely want to get it changed after arrival (and record the chagne date for reference).

Small job--No big deal--Just good CPS2 maintenance.

Sometimes people have to remove the 3 Black Plugs (or Caps) at the front of the board and use the extra access ports to help get a good view (or lighting angle) inside the board. It talkes a little practice.

Ok, I just checked my Battery, Blue SUPER TURBO board. This is what I did.

On the front of the board, I removed the Black Access Plug on the far right side of the board (X, X, 0).

Next, I shined my flashlight through Black Access Plug on the far right side of the board (X, X, 0).

Then I peeked through the front airvents (====) and looked towards the back right corner of the board. And saw the Battery.

Hope this helps.

I've been meaning to replace the battery in this thing for a while, but haven't gotten around to it.

If a buyer wants me to replace it before shipping it out I will. It will just take a few more days while I order the battery. Heck, I will probably just order it and install it if it doesn't sell first.

EDIT:

I just ordered a battery and will install it upon arrival.

Whats the diference between the green board and the blue board? I saw you mention Evi players preffer the green one. Thanks.

The most basic difference is that the green is the Japanese version. Other than that the game is supposedly much more difficult on single player. I haven't compared it to a blue board, but I can say that my ass was handed to me many times by the computer on the green here...

Thanks amigo. I have SF legend JumpSuit Jesse as a neighbor. Ill let him be the judge on difficulty. Lol

Believe it or not, but the blue board is much more difficult than the green. The main difference is the CPU opponents on the blue board are ridiculously hard even on the lowest setting, while the green board starts out easy but then ramps up to be hard as you progress further. That, the Japanese text, and the blue board has freeplay while the green board doesn't.

I have a phoenix version so I can switch and the Japanese version is a more fair game, while the NA version is cheap and frustrating.

BTW Cwales is looking for this game.

Well, I was backward. Guess I just suck at it :p

Anyway, This is the last bump. Tomorrow I will be picking up my new Pin with or without selling, so I will end up keeping it.

Bump for you. Green CPU is "easier", but they will both kick your ass. There is also a slight tweak with Gief's stomach crunch move doing more damage.

The CPU issue matters if you find yourself playing by yourself a lot. All versions of SF2 CPU cheat after a certain point (walk forward Sonic Booms or standing Flash Kicks for example or executing the counter move milli-seconds after you've put in your input), but Blue ST cheats right out of the gate. It comes down to learning the patterns, but at that point why are you playing so much ST by yourself to do that?

One other quirk with ST: no freeplay. So have your credit switch wired up and working.

Sosage already basically said it, but while there is a Freeplay option listed in the manual, it's not actually in the menu. This was something I found out long ago when I picked mine up.

Thanks for all the free bumps guys. I am no longer selling the board. I was able to talk the guy with the pin down a bit more, and I wasn't planning to sell this thing unless I had to.
