Usually caused by communication problem between the scoreboard and
the mainboard. Reseat the RJ45 connector to the scoreboard and back of cabinet.
Also reseat the connector that goes from the connector on the back of the cabinet
to the CPU board.

Thank you that worked. I was given 2 hoop fever hf1000x also that has no power. The transformer is giving less than the 7.5v and 15v. Is there a replacement power supply I can use rather than the $500 transformer? Or is there something else I'm missing the light bulbs are working but no power to the main board

what can really screw these games up is using the brighter orange rubbery basketballs, as they wear they spread that orange dust everywhere. if you have a Motion8 board, if said dust gets lodged in the adjustment pots you'll have issues where the backboard won't move or gets stuck. I called Skee Ball many years ago about this and they suggested wiping the pots, but the problem with the Motion8 pots is they can break very easily. so I think both games we had I had to send those out to get fixed by them. the leathery basketballs may cost a little more but it's ENTIRELY worth using them instead. you have to periodically vacuum/clean the inside of the game and up in the backboard area.

I doubt the transformer is bad. I've worked on dozens of these and never saw a
transformer fail.

Sometimes the bridge rectifier on the main board will go.

It has broken away from the posts. How do I test it? Where do I find the bridge rectifier. Currently it's completely off

Do you have a picture of the board ? There are different versions.

funny story. I think about 15 years ago the ball gate motor transformer on our Super Shot Jr. quit. I was able to modify it with a run to the power supply. unfortunately I have no picture evidence of doing this anymore, but it was a pretty inventive fix during my early formative years.

try pressing all those socketed chips down. if they make crunching sounds then that's good. it could just be chip creep. I doubt your program rom is bad, but it's always a possibility. I never dumped those so not sure where you can unearth the code to compare against if that's at fault. it just looks like it's not running.

Shouldn't it light up some what? I saw on their site that there is a power supply option maybe that replaces the transformer. I'll add the photo
