First I would like to give a shout out to Chekewaka (Spain) and Jon Exidy for coming to the rescue with Punch-Out!! PCBs for my resto/re-conversion of a Punch-Out!! cab I recently just only picked up. Awesome community who gave me a break on the PCBs so at least maybe, just maybe at the end of it I won't have as much into the resto as an already-done game (time excluded).

With that said the board Jon Exidy sold me is a Rev. 1 and the Super Punch-Out!! PCB Chekewaka sent me is a Rev. 2 board with Spanish ROMS (euro obviously). I plan to use a switcher.

My question is that since it's a board from Spain is it just a plain Rev. 2 board with just Spanish ROMS? Is the video output the same as US boards? I think I am planning to keep the Spanish roms in there for uniqueness - think it will be cool.

Pics of the Rev. 2 Spain board...

I don't know. If not I'll do whatever so they can be.
It doesn't seem like they've been dumped- there's an Italian bootleg set for regular Punch-Out but apparently no dumped Spanish set for Super. What you have is actually really interesting from a historical standpoint considering all the eproms have the Sega SA labels- I don't know a ton about the history of Sega SA but I think the implication here is that this is a potentially licensed romset for the Spanish market distributed by a company that formed out of Sega shareholders. Really interesting stuff.

If you would be able to dump the roms I would really appreciate it. It would be great to get these into Mame. Sorry for sorta blabbing up your thread without actually answering your original question- I don't have a solid answer but I assume the video output will either be identical to the original or potentially already pre-inverted for use with non-Nintendo monitors.
