I have a Super Pacman that has all the original hardware in it. Someone installed a game elf multi game in it. Original PCB was still in there. I can hook up the pcb using a ega/cga to vga converter going to a lcd and get a picture and play the game fine. But when I hook up the monitor harness I get a jumbled screen. I don't know if this is a sync issue or what. The pictures included show the harness that went to the monitor and was connected to the jamma game elf. Then the original harness that plugs to video board and monitor. I know the monitor is ok. Also included is a couple of pictures of the monitor connections and the type of monitor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if that's a 4600? There's a pot on the board that usually clears up the horizontal.

Here's a chunk of vid from John's Arcade where that pot is adjusted to clear up the screen on a jump bug.

thats a 19inch K7200 series chassis. kind of looks like sync problem.

Don't know what the wiring is for a Super Pac Man from the board to the monitor with out actually looking it up. However it looks like the wiring is wrong on the connectors.

Thanks for the help but I see nothing on the monitor board that looks like whats in the video

that video is of a wells gardner K4600 and not your model so its not going to be anything like yours. i posted your model on above post and i would google the manual for it or look here on klov that way it will help you to locate stuff.

I don't know what to make of your wiring. being that Super Pac-Man is a Namco creation, you will only need 1 sync wire. it should only be composite sync coming off the board, and to the 10th pin on the signal header for negative horizontal sync.

you look like you have no sync at all, so adjusting the holds won't do anything, you have to sort out the wiring issue.

eliminate all the funky adapters and extracurricular harnesses.

Thanks for all the help. Finally got it. It was the horizontal hold on the board. Just took a while to find it.
