I always played it as a kid in the arcades. Then a few years back I picked up a boardset and threw it in a generic cabinet for awhile. The lack of maze changes got repetitive after awhile. I realize the keys and "doors" changed, but that didn't seem to keep interest.

Not a fan. As a kid, my grandfather had a Pac-Man machine but later swapped it for a Super Pac. It was no fun at all compared to regular Pac.

We have one and I play it more than Pac-Man or Ms. Pac-Man. I'd say it's my second most favorite Pac game... first being Jr. Pac-Man which I'd love to get someday to go next to Mappy.

I think the game is a bit too repetitive. It's got cool art work though. It's still one of the few games you can play at this diner I know of. Not my least favorite Pac-man game though. That would be ether the original pac-man or pac-man jr.

{MyFav's}-> Ms. Pac, Crazy otto, pac-man plus, Super-pac, pac-man and Jr. Pac-man <-{DaLame}

Only game of the pac-man family I own that I've played is Ms. Pac-man. & [cheering] Yes! [/cheering], I already own one. :)

Super Pac-Man is the best game in the Pac series. It's a little less linear than and requires a different mindset than the other Pac maze games. A lot of players don't like it because of those things, but that's why I prefer it.

Added:
keys for maze gates
bonus matching target
super speed
bonus rounds
Pac-Man can enter ghost base
ghosts ocasionally get stuck in maze

Removed:
boring dots

I am currently restoring a super pac!

Got a PCB, I just need the wiring harness and art and I am good to go.

I like it.

Oddly enough just this week one of my friends asked me if I could find him a super pacman cocktail. It was his favorite game and he's like to have a dedicated cocktail.

Did they make a super pac cocktail? (art specific to superpac?) I think I have seen it, but not sure.

yes, there is a dedicated cocktail. i used to have one. i'd rather have an upright these days. fun game to play, but if you use the right pattern and get good at it you can get high scores and it can get a little bit boring. but i guess that's any game. here's a pic of the one i used to have. -

I sold mine yesterday. It was near mint!! Fun game if I had more room I would keep it. I sold it to a friend so I can still play it.

Same here. Ms. Pac 2nd and Pac, 3rd but I also like Jr. a lot as well. Super is my BITD game. Wanted one since '82 and finally got a cocktail table last year. I still want an upright, though. I just broke my high score last night of 217K with 229,250. Might be skewed a bit as my extra guy setting is 80k and every additional 80k. I think the default is 80k and 100k after that but no more. I like my setting because if I can get past the Shamrock stage (14 IIRC), I always get an extra life at that point. It really is a great game but its getting to be like Ms. Pac for me, in as much as when get a really good game going, it takes too damn long. With a 3 year old and a new baby in the house, its tough to find time to play.

I have one, it's okay but I definitely prefer Ms. Pac. I really don't know much about strategy for this game, usually I just eat the super size pellets and try to get through each round as fast as possible without regard to maxiimizing my score. If you are super sized and eat a power pellet, it extends your super size time and in the early rounds it's easy to be super sized for the whole round.

Another thing is the bonus on each level, and trying to time it so that the items match. Never been able to figure out a strategy for that.

The bonus rounds are a nice break even though they pretty lame. Just eat as fast as you can.

I think I managed 70-80k as my best on this game. It seems to be impossibly hard after that.

There is also a high score kit for this game, I see it pop up on Ebay once in a while. Not sure if it's still being produced.

Super Pac is a decent game. I'd consider owning one if the side art was in good shape. It's better than Pac N' Pal, though Pac N' Pal can be fun too. Frankly... the dog of the Pac games is the original Pac Man IMHO (NOTE: I've never played Baby Pac so I can't comment on that one.)... but even Pac Man is fun... but gets old fast.

EDIT: BTW - Did Pac N' Pal ever have a dedicated cab?
