Can someone explain to me what the wiring should look like on the coin mechs to my super pac-man machine? Schematics are mostly gibberish to me.

It's been hacked up a bit and they had a yellow and a brown/white wire going to each mech in a series. Looking at other machines, it seems like something is missing. Like in pac-man there's two wires going to each of the right legs and one on the left. There are also some wires just hanging there not attached to anything but I think they went to the slam switch? Those are brown-black black-yellow. The harness in intact, but like I said the stuff down by the coin mechs was cut and it looks like what's on there was soldered by a 4 year old. If I meter the two posts I get -5.02 on both mechs.

Putting a quarter in trips the coin counter but does not give a credit. Pushing the service button does give a credit.

I'm sure it's something simple, but like I said I am unaccustomed to schematics and I just don't see what I'm supposed to be seeing in this.

Thanks in advance..

Super pacman has an algorythm built into the game software regarding how long the coin switch is held closed. This was done to prevent "stringing" attempts by kids.

You must "flick" the coin switch very quickly (like the normal speed a quarter would pass) to get a credit.

This must not be the case on all Super Pac Mans because the coin detect micro switch on my Super Pac definitely doesn't need to be flicked quickly, either that or mine doesn't work right.

Yeah, I tried that just now and it does not work no matter how fast you flick it. It trips the coin counter but does not give a credit. I'm thinking the easy thing would be to wire it directly to the service button since that works but it hardly seems like the correct way to fix the issue.
