super pac gone multi...

Wait, I thought Phett lived in Minnesota or Wisconsin or somethin'?

I'm multi-ing mine so I'm give the guy the benefit of the doubt... he may have got it converted and Jamma-tized like mine. If the monitor isn't original, and neither are half of the innards, what's the point in me pouring a lot of money into the cab to make it original? My artwork was hidden underneath layers of paint and wasn't in great shape anyway, I just happen to be repainting mine instead.

While my cab is "solid," little about it was original before it came into my possesion. The more I understand the hobby, the more I believe the majority of conversions were hacked and converted by some op before they were ever multi-ed. For the record I don't condone the dismemberment of original cabs.

From the listing:
This cabinet has been stripped down to bare wood and restored with no expense spared.

He could have done things better.

Seconded. The lettering is teh suk. Sorry if I am offending a fellow KLOV'er.

I guess I always cringe when I see original/unique cabs converted into multis. I have a feeling that cab could of been saved; but nonetheless to each their own...

I'm not commenting on the taste of the paint job. It's ugly. And of course he could have done things better.

But Super Pac is a stenciled cab, so stripping down any of the covering paint is going to hurt the paint job underneath. Also as of right now, there aren't any paint codes available online for the red and yellow... so good luck getting an exact match. There's a rumor that there's a stencil available somewhere, where...? If it's out there it's not being made available. This isn't exactly a case of painting a cab a solid color and throwing up some decals. Artistic liberty has to be taken with this particular cab, unless most of the artwork is intact.

It's hard to assume what the cab looked like before... and really how good of shape it's in from some 25k Craigslist photos. Also bondo looks pretty much the same painted as wood.

I'm of the mind that a typical reseller wants to do as little to a cab as possible... the idea that the cab was a cherry and he stripped it and gutted it just because he's an evil human being, doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Anyway... I've already sunk $450 into my cab hand painting and replacing parts. I've probably spent a good 60 hours masking off and painting all the details and I'm only about 70% done. This shit takes a lot of time without stencils or vinyl. Anyone else want to to spend that kind of time hand painting a cab?

Super Pac is a great candidate for a multi but at least leave it as a Super Pac. Awesome 4 way leaf joystick and one action button. Doesn't get much better than that for me. I'm not a fan of the game but I like the cab. Super Pac doesn't look good as anything other than a Super Pac in my opinion.

Something like this??
