Picked this up off craigslist the other day and after a close examination it's going to need some cleanup and a new art package (when it becomes available).

Monitor works but looks like it will need the usual cap kit, needs a ribbon cable to connect the two boards as it's the most likely culprit on why it was showing garbage on the screen. Will need a back door as well along with new locks.

Heres what i plan on doing cabinet wise right now.

Thorough cleaning of cabinet. No stripping of current art until i have the art package in my hands.
Getting board to work and verifying if monitor will need capped.
Painting of marquee brackets, speaker grill, and monitor bracket.
Making a new back door
Replacing light ballast.
Buttons and steering wheels thoroughly clean and rebuilt if necessary.
Cleaning and painting of foot pedals.

Any other suggestions is appreciated! Thanks for taking the time to look at my restore.

Nice pick up, one of my favorite games of my childhood. Yours is a whole lot cleaner than mine and looks like a much lighter restore. I'm in the middle of doing a full restore all the way to the rubber mat, and aluminum trim around the pedals so if you need any help just ask.

Just saw you posted in the repro art thread. Hopefully we will the art printed soon.
