Just brought it back home. In the garage for now. Brought in the Berzerk. Moved my Neo-Geo mini upstairs on my own - little bastard was a PITA as the plywood backs (not original) came off about half way up.

More machines are going upstairs soon to the second living room. Anyone have any tips on moving them up. I will have multiple people to help. Steep stairs straight up - no landings so that is better than landings with turns - I have carried machines down under those conditions.

Any hints/tips appreciated - and local help appreciated as well. :)

The best thing I ever did was buy an appliance dolly/ hand truck. It was about $135 at Menards (a Lowe's or Home Depot equivalence). It has a huge strap and 2 belt type devices that allow it to glide up and down stairs. It's so easy I can move the lighter machines by myself. ok maybe once :) , but it is much easier.

Hmm. That style dolly is closest to what the Operators I worked for had as well. The belt/rollers on the back do make it easier to handle stairs. The ones the operators had also featured a fold out set of wheels on the back so the load could be tilted over and then one did not have to support the weight and move the weight both.

Will check into that style dolly. Thanks.

try Northern tools thats where i got my aluminum hand truck. They also carry the style your looking for with the fold out wheels with the ratcheting strap and stair climbers for a decent price but shipping is where they get you.

Looks great. Shipping does bite. Thanks for the info.
