super nintendo w/pcb

I've got a Super Nes from a bulk buy as well that was wired up to arcade controllers and an arcade monitor. Nothing like yours though. Interesting.

Head over to Gamesniped.com

They may know a bit about it in their forums...

Dev kits, demos, and all kinds of carts that were meant as Beta only (for magazine reviewers) and stuff show up there all the time...

Definitely a homebrew. The Super System arcade used its own PCB and games, much like the PC did.

Is it working? For sale? Just curious.

it's probably just a snes modified to work in an arcade cab, a lot of 3rd world countries use to have them in arcade cabs back in the days.

I wonder what that PCB does aside from offering the JAMMA connector. It seems like an awful lot of ICs (plus dipswitches) for just a JAMMA connector. I wonder if it adds functionality like "insert coin" text and maybe a timer, which would make it sort of like a PC-10 in functionality.

Yeah, probably a timer....

Usually it shuts on/off controlls... And has an onscreen insert coin text.

i only thing i see is " 0994 " on the front and on the back is " GGJP " . i did a goolge search and nothing came up . i would like to know the dip switch settings.

any numbers on the board or anything? I've been throwing around the idea of putting a snes/nes in to a multicab just for giggles.

I have similar additions for Sega Saturn and PC Engine, they handle the credits and supply a timer to play games. I know for sure of one for Playstation 1 (maybe have that too, I forget :D)
