I've been hunting for one of these and the few people who have contacted me about selling theirs have asked what I would consider to be... outrageous high prices.

I've gotten prices ranging from $1800 to $2400 and this is for not even mint condition... like playfield wear and ramp damage and stuff.

Is this the going price now? I can't find any recent sales of this game with a price... most are from a few years ago selling anywhere from $800 to $1400 tops... and in good condition usually.

I've seen them up for around the $2500 mark for a good one. I don't understand why they have been fetching big bucks lately...

Probably because I want one and finally have money to buy it... lol. Typically happens with anything I want that's been around for decades... the moment I'm interested the price is like 3-4 times what it was a year ago.

I've heard the game play is not really that great on them and it's just a nostalgia thing... well, I'm super nostalgic for it which is why I want it. I have limited space for a pin, and I want something that looks colorful, is compact and hits me right in the childhood.

I even had the little toy pinball mario machine as a kid...

I'm down for either Mario pinball machine but at least the full sized one is selling for a more reasonable $1200-$1300.

I get that the Mushroom World one is pretty low production run but I thought the prices were a lot lower since the game isn't as fun to play as most pins.
