Monitor worked. Pcb had problems. Changed the pcb to a working one. Now plays blind and monitor blank.

Tried another monitor, got a picture, but could not sink it.

Super Hang On chassis which looks to be a K7000.
At R301: (white ceramic hanging of left side)
The side closer to front I get 120v and towards the back I get 135v.
The white ceramic component has a resistor attached to the outside of it.
Is that correct?
Not sure what's next.
Also, the power cord coming into the monitor is 104vac. Is this the problem?

First monitor really getting into.
Any help much appreciated.

reposting what i pmed ya so everybody else can take a look, lets see how wrong i am mod hehe

weired....

ok first things first yes is like to see 110-120vac to the monitor. Id check the wall voltage loaded to see if mabye the wall voltage is low. If not, next i would check the ac input voltage to the game, mabye the cord is dropping voltage.

second, its odd but your b+ is 120, if you have a regulator ending in 123, this b+ is close to correct and this monitor should be working and producing a picture.

Make sure the screen knob on the flyback isnt turned down. If its down, you wont see a picture. DO you have neckglow?

Im going to have to find a diagram and see how this monitor is wired up. Alot of segas used a nanao monitor originally, and the sync wire IS NOT the white wire. On nanaos+sega alot of times they used the white as video ground and then like a blue/white striped wire as the actual sync wire. THis might explain why you would not get the monitor to sync up.

alot of times when ops did swaps like that instead of rewiring they would just CRAM THE SYNC CONNECTOR ON BACKWARDS. Not really ideal, but it works well enough to test my theory IF youre careful.

ALSO FYI- the flyback there has white knobs. Even if you get this monitor working, i reccomend you replace that flyback as soon as possible. Itll save you alot of money and headache in the long run.

SECOND THOUGHTS... wait a min.. i wonder if your b+ is 130 and your monitor has the wrong vreg in it.. whats your opinions of his b+ fellas?
