Okay... after getting everything set up... borrowing a capacitor from one of my monitors (a 470uf @ 25) to replace one that was broken on the board. Still no sound...
I can't find a manual or schematic for this game, so I'm try'ng to follow traces on the PCB. It looks like the final point where all roads meet before going to the speakers is at an MB3730 audio amp.
How should these things work? Can I even measure them with a logic probe? I tried, and here's what I'm getting... In: High, Fb: High, Bp: High, Gnd: Low, Out-I: High, Out-M: High, VCC: Pulsing with when the music should be playing, not pulsing where there's no sound.
I ask about the logic probe, becase it's it just reference'ng the signals to GND and +5? Anything coming out of that amp should be >+5, right? Is there another way to test this thing if a logic probe won't work? Granted, I have the O-Scope... but please tell me I don't have to drag that thing out...
Oh, and if anyone has scans of the manual, for the love of God, please share.
