I saw a really cheap bartop trivia game at a local flea market with a 13'' monitor so I thought that would be perfect for my Jr. Pac I just got. I had no idea if it would even work, but I bought it anyway. The monitor worked fine in the trivia machine, but the game poped up jumbled text. I took the monitor out and put it in the jr. pac. As far as I know I installed it right, but the monitor color is all blue and any moving object in the game is surrounded by a black box. Is this just a simple monitor adjustment/wrong kind of monitor or is it an issue with my Jr board? Here is a picture of the screen.

since neither of you have not provided any pics of the chassis in question or any serial/chassis #'s to Id them you are not going to get much/any help from any body.

but if i had to guess it is a stuck on transistor in the color circuit some where. or a gun is shorted in the tube.

Peace

Jdoz, yours is a GAMEBOARD issue. A bad monitor can't make black boxes pop up around jr. pac man. Your jr pacman board isn't working properly.

Tron guy, you've got either a bad blue gun on your tube, or the blue transistor is shorted on. If I was going to guess, your blue gun is bad on the tube, which sucks. If you can get your hands on a monitor rejuvenator you may be able to zap the short out of it. Small chance though that it's just the transistor on the neckboard, you can check it with a diode test (just check it against the other two transistors) on your multimeter.

Fixed the problems..... two bad roms....erased the roms.....did not work...replaced with good roms on good chips everything now working.
