Super Auctions Ontario, CA. Who went??

it was a small selection of the junkiest route junk you have ever seen. every non-driver vid was a piece of crap. A few decent pinballs but most went for stupid prices. Nobody missed anything by not going

I think the No Good Gofers was a decent deal at $1500. I was tempted to buy it and playfield swap w/ the one I just ruined (boohoohoo) ...but figured it's probably less of a pain in the ass to just touch up the mistakes I made than to swap a whole playfield.

I was there. Picked up a cheap Neo Geo for myself.

Otherwise everything went for too much. I did end up making a deal with a KLOVer for a Stargate Pin while at the auction, so the trip to SoCal ended up being worth it.

My girlfriend took a bunch of notes on prices I can post later if anyone is interested.

Here are a bunch of the prices. Didn't write down prices for a bunch of the crap converted games. The girlfriend got bored with taking notes at one point so didn't get everything.

Various racers (Fast and Furious, Crusin World, Cruzin USA, Cray Taxi, California Speed, Daytona USA) - Went for 300-600 each (didnt write these down, going off memory)

I went, and was amazed at the way the prices jumped so quickly. The arcade games for the most part needed a lot of work, and many they didn't have plugged in until they were being auctioned, so who knows if they had issues or not.

I was also shocked at the way the auctioneer was touting some of the cabs as "mint" condition. I'm sorry, but in my mind torn up control panels, scratched plexi, and faded side art does NOT constitute mint, especially if the video is not up and running (i.e. a dedicated original Spiderman who's video was really blurry, and would randomly cut out, if work at all---again NOT "mint" like the auctioneer said).

I won't be surprised to see a lot of really overpriced crappy games on CL for the next couple of months as the buyers try to offload their bad buys!

No one really missed out at all, unless you were looking for vending machines. There were some killer deals on those!

This is all such a far cry from the glory days of those auctions. The era of row upon row of classic games is long over.

Who the heck would pay $1800 for that pin, even $700 was way too much for that pin in my opinion. Looks like a $250 to $400 tops.

Yeah, I'm glad I didn't go. i gave up on Super Auctions long ago.

You'd think you could get a good price with it being a buyer's market. Some of those prices are crazy, especially when you add in the 23.5% (fee and sales tax) to the "hammer price".

It's not a buyers market for pinball machines. Prices are generally very strong.
