Super auctions Oct. 9th St. Louis roll call

I'm bringing a Ring King (working), a Mortal Kombat II (working), a Double Dragon II that plays blind (G07 was beautiful, then crapped out), and a Final Blow (JAMMA) that is complete, but dead.

I have room for more on the trailer, but that's all I'm bringing unless someone offers a decent trade for other stuff. Cabs I'd trade are Wangan Midnight twin with one flaky boardset (works but takes a long time to boot up, other side works fine), Emergency Call Ambulance in Daytona 2 cab (has monitor issue), Frogger (works 100%) Neo Geo 1 slot in Dynamo cut corner (works 100%) Donkey Kong (graphics issue)

If anyone is interested in any of the above, let me know ASAP as I'm leaving at noon on Friday.

Id trade my Multi MK for an MKII, just saying....

Also curious, how much for DK?

:) was hoping noone knew about this so I could get some steals

Whoops, sorry :D
I think these Michael Angelo auctions are getting pretty well known now. I saw it in Gameroom mag, apparently there's going to be one in Illinois later this month too... not sure where though, I couldn't find anything on their site about it yet.

Sadly, I will miss another one. Got to be at work at 5p. Thought about going anyway to just hang out during the day, but can't afford the temptation. Haven't been in over a year. Next one, dammit!

edited for spelling

This was by far the worst auction I been to so far.
Will post prices when we get home for the stand ups and sit downs if noone beats us to it
. Did not make a list for jukes, redemptions or touchmasters.

Prices...
I'll keep updating until they are all entered... I also took some video, which I will post later if it turned out ok.

Easily the weakest auction I have ever been to. Probably the coolest thing I saw was the Sega Sports redemption machine. Good talking to TheBasment, KSaun, Gordonfan, Welove80's, Hockeyman44, and anyone else I might have talked to or forgotten.

I didn't buy much. It was cool just hanging with some other KLOVers -Caldwert, Welove80's,The Basement, Radiac, Redwolfjc and a couple others. I even worked out right before I got there and put on the tightest shirt I could find and struted around ,but nobody wanted a shot at the title. Jeremy's (the basement) friend Todd was sizing me up but he thought better of it. Lol
I asked the dude that worked for the auction with the Mullet what kind of shampoo he uses on his doo ,but he didn't find it too funny.

So, just to be clear about this... You went to a VIDEO GAME auction looking for another man to "challenge you"? I think you may have gone to the wrong place for that...

You know, usually Superauctions has the Belleville auctions in conjunction with BrewMania, not The Gun Show...

Were there any Arachnid Dart Boards there? If so what were the prices?
I saw there were a couple old English Mark Darts there, but didn't really pay attention to what other boards they had... Sorry, didn't get the prices on em, but I'm sure someone else who was there can chime in...

My wife nor I paid any attn to the prices on the dart machines.
I did love how they did phantom bids on a few of the machines and had to say ok who will give me 100....75

Your aware it was a joke right?

It was more than a few times. Several times the auctioneer would start off with a price like somebody bid and nobody really did. I love the disgusted look on the Mullet guys face when something good sells super cheap. Where was the short old fart who always stands on the chair bidding his own stuff up?

My daughter said she got the best of you!!!

Was she the one with the Yellow Pac shirt that matched yours? Hey I couldn't help but overhear you talking about a problem with one of the games you bought, Somebody took something off it. Or did I misunderstand?

Glennon

The videos didn't turn out so good, but I figured I'd post them anyway in case someone wanted to see em... I'll use my better camera next time, and not walk so fast :)

Yep, my daughter was the one with the matching shirt. I asked deadmeat to make a youth size when he ran the pac shirts and it turned out great. My kids love maching me on shirts.

There was a problem, and i was quite pissed about it. I bought the Nascar sitdown. I bought it for 2 reasons. 1st. It was missing the monitor and boards. But i happen to have both of those items tested working on my bench. So it was a great candidate for that. But actually what i liked most about it was the it had the stickers to label all the cars for when you link the machines. Each machine has a number on the left and right side thats says the car number for that unit. And also, there is a piece of plexi on the back that has the car number. We have a bunch of nascars linked and have never had all the numbers. So getting the numbers was actually more exciting than getting the project game. And somone stole the numbers out of the machine.

Ive had several machines that have had items stolen out of them while they were at the auction. When you buy a bunch of games, you cant keep an eye on all of them, exspecially when you are in another row bidding. Ive had working galaga boards stolen. and someone took the boards out og a club kart once as well. I even had a complete game stolen from me at the STL auction. When you have employees working that are drunk before the auction starts, its wasy to figure out how this stuff can happen.
