Super Auctions - Mesquite Oct 2nd 2010 - Roll Call

Omega Race Cockpit went for 600 something I think. I played it for a little bit. Kind of annoying having the score/box in the middle and you have the go around it. But then again I have never played Omega Race except maybe on Atari 2600.

Noice, you figure out what this is yet?

Yeah it was six something on the cockpit. Don't think he was a regular, since he told me it was his first auction.

The cockpit version is pretty cool (not sure it's 600+ cool, but whatever)... Had never played anything other than the upright. The control layout took a little getting used to. The spinner control is next to your left knee and the thrust and fire buttons are next to your right knee. The speakers are right in your face.

The Super Mini appears to have a Jamma harness. I see the key in slot 7 and it has 28 slots on each side of the connector.. Not sure what I will do with it (Probably use it for a custom game I want to build). It has wood grain on both sides (inside and outside the cabinet).

Beat up Tron that wouldn't come on went for 325.

All Video Games and Pinballs with Prices...

Here are the pics I went right down the row as they completed each row, so the order of the pics is the order they went in. The prices are in the top right hand corner of the sticker.
The number below it is the buyer number.

And yes I included pinballs, and big games. I did not include redemption or jukes, and other stuff. Just video games and pinball.

If you can't read the sticker zoom in on the pic in flickr.

Enjoy!

There is a guy here in my area who has a pretty decent looking omega race cockpit, similar to the one shown here. He wants $1,800 for it. I'm sure he will keep it at that price...

There were some 20 somethings guys viteotaping with a fancy looking video camera. Looked like ones you see on tv for filming news stories. Anyone else notice them?

Pretty sure you're going to end up in the next Borat movie now. :)

Wow, that was awesome. I have never seen such a comprehensive auction result post. Seemed like there were some good deals and the occasional wtf? At least you guys had some classics, the last auction down here had 3 classics, just sad.

I think most of the "good deals" were just buy backs. Most of the odd prices that ended with 50 cents were the seller getting stuck as the highest bidder and the auction staff pumping a bid out of the real bidder. Just look at the repeating bidder numbers that kept winning. It really is a joke of an auction as you rarely bid against someone that isn't selling the item.

Thanks for posting the photos. Now I'm not sure if I'm glad I missed it or p*ssed that I missed it...:):confused:

There was a pretty good selection of classics. I couldn't tell what that Robotron went for, it looked like $50.

I would definitely have spent money I don't have and bought boxes that I don't have room for.....

How about posting the list of prices for those of us who can't read the tags?

Thanks for the pics. Next time, try photographing from a little angle so the flash doesn't interfere with the viewing of the sticker...
