picked up a few on sunday...went for a empty cab to mod..and ended up buying some more, lol.

-Operation Wolf, plays excellent, super clean art, but the guy really hammered the bottom edge of cab on the concrete.

-Sky Soldiers, super clean game, plays excellent

-Space Duel, missing the Tube, very clean otherwise........ no idea if it works, guy was moving and was in the gaming seen for the last 15yrs he said, and could not recall what state it was in when he shoved it in the back of the basement, any idea what tube go's into it to maybe see if it powers up good?

question for you guys I need to mame a cab for the summer place due to space constraints, I know how you guys feal about mames, honestly I do too but I do need just one to get the games I want...is the Space Duel a rare Cab?

Peace, B.

Space Duel is a color vector game. The cabinets aren't rare, but working monitors are. Expect to pay $250 and up for a monitor. There may be someone in the area who's looking for that cab to turn into a Multi vector cab. If I had the room i'd love to get it to convert to a Quantum.

The Sky Soldiers is a converted Atari game, possibly a Centipede.

Are you a member of the local arcade group 'SMAC'?

Out of the three, if you're hellbent on doing a MAME setup, do it in the Sky Soldiers cabinet. The vertical orientation of the monitor is the best config IMO, and it's already a converted cabinet.

Please don't modify the Space Duel!!!

Yeah, that Sky soldiers is a converted Atari cab, likely Centipede, Kangaroo, or the like. It's a good candidate for MAME because the monitor orientation is nice and upright, and rotating the monitor inside that cab wouldn't be difficult. And, as mentioned before, it's already been converted.

thnx guys for the feedback...kinda hate to tear the Sky Soldiers apart, kinda planned to trade it for something else or sell it...it was my first choice as the controls are what I need for the mame when I looked at the cabs....need to think on it over the week and make a move...I am out of room and had to stash two of the cabs in Moms garage...she is out of town but if she comes home and finds more of my stuff at her place it probably wont go well for me, lol.

but I really like the artwork on the SD its pretty cool looking and in great shape. I just didnt want to convert something that was crazy rare is all.

Peace, B.
