need to stretch out the horizontal (up/down) width of a 13" pc monitor for a 60-1. there is no on-screen menu as it is older and just has knobs. I only see vertical adjustments, but no horizontal.

model is: packard bell pb8549svgl

got it free off of CL. works great except for not being able to adjust the Horiz width. i guess i will look for another 13" monitor and make sure that i can adjust the Horiz before decasing.

There should be a control somewhere. All monitors are different. Older monitors will probably have a coil to adjust on the board, should be labelled horiz or HWIDTH or something. User controls on the front can adjust most functions though - these would be knobs on older monitors, sometimes the rarely used functions would be on the back as recessed controls, accessable with a screwdriver. Just look around inside. That monitor should work just fine for you.

Ah, Packard Bell. Good times... well, actually, not really.

But seriously, if I recall correctly their monitors either had a knob or a hole that had a recessed flathead screw for adjustment. It would be marked as RetroHacker mentions.
