Suggestions for fixing t-molding edge on laminated cabinet

My search isn't bringing up what I want, so I hope someone can help me. I have a Centuri cab that has very clean woodgrain sides. As I was removing the old t-molding, I noticed the last curve on the front side towards the bottom has been bumped pretty hard. It is kinda "swollen" there and now won't hold the t-molding. What's the best way to fix this without messing up the laminate sides? Careful bondo work or is there a better way?

Not saying to try this, but I wonder if you could fill that small area (2in long?) with epoxy, then carefullly clamp, compressing it to the same width (3/4"?) as the rest of the cabinet. Then..for just that short length, cut the t-molding so it sits smooth on top of the repair. Might work.

You mean cut off the part that goes in the slot in that section? That just might work! I may try this- thanks!
