Suggest one last game for an old-guy collector..

Sit down driver, preferably a twin.

Already covered, an old sitdown driver and my only cockpit, and my only fiberglass cab: Night Driver! It is my last project and it'll get some attention really soon...

Funny how everyone says this. In my collection, I am pretty sure DK is getting the boot to make room for other games.

There have been many good games mentioned, Marble Madness, Multi WMs, TRON, Battlezone, Here is my addition for you....

Q*Bert

I agree about DK, I could never get into it. But hey, I'm in the minority. Good for everyone else. Q*Bert, there is one local I could probably try and play if I ask really nice. I don't know if it could beat out Tron or Red Baron though.

SEGA Star Trek with the Multi G-80
Star Wars with the ESB kit :)
Space War or Space Wars
Red Baron
Computer Space
Pong
Battle Zone
Gorf
Gyruss
Time Pilot
Burger Time
Baby Pac-man
Any good pinball machine

How about:

Street Fighter II
Mortal Kombat I or II
Mappy
Punch-Out (although it's pretty clear you are very anti-Nintendo arcade)
Dig Dug
TMNT
Contra
NBA Jam
Sea Wolf

Yeah, yeah I know I'm going to hear "Oh I play it on <insert console here> and the port is dead on." There's just something about playing these games in their original state that the console versions just cannot touch!

I would suggest Cheyenne, Crossbow or Chiller. I know you say you're not that into light gun games but these really don't fall in the same category as the others you mention. they actually have a lot of replay value and are very fun games.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest for him. I've had other shooters in my garage including Zombie Raid, but without a doubt the best replay shooter was my Exidy Crackshot.

And I also agree with Gutsman, you need a dedicated SF2.

My Mame has a SF2 layout, 6 buttons per player, 8 way joysticks, horizontal montor. It plays great!

Speechless, really, figured out what I wanted my final dedicated cab to be, no sooner did I find it locally posted of all places in KLOV's for sale section. I don't look there often at all. All told between finding it, negotiating, and picking it up today, it was three days. Thanks go to everyone who helped me think about this subject. I owe you all for helping me think of what cab I really wanted at just the right time it seems. Fate. Red Baron. Love it, need to bring it back from the brink of being dead.
