substitute for Nyogel damping grease in Atari games?

Many of the Atari manuals have exploded views of controllers that show points that should be lubricated from time to time.
The recommended Nyogel grease is pretty hard to come by, so I'm wondering if other synthetic lubricants would work. I have Sili-kroil and silicone lube, as well as plain old 3-in-1 oil.
Anyone had any success in using these products as substitutes for the Nyogel? (This is for a Food Fight joystick.)

Thanks,
Marc

I think RAM controls has it as well (I'm just too lazy to go get the URL right now :)).
