I couldn't find anything on this but I'm sure there's a post/thread out here somewhere.

Has anyone ever installed a subwoofer in there game like we do in pinball machines? I'm sure there's a few games that would sound great with them installed! Anyways, I'm going to work on it...lol

Thanks

A subwoofer isn't going to do anything without proper power and an amplifier to run it. Arcade machines can only output minimal power and volume to a basic speaker.

My "Pump up the Bass" thread ->

Subwoofers rock in a BattleZone cab. :)
(Use a powered sub with interface to the ARII sound section)

Not sure most games have any bass but it seems like it would be great add-on to most games. Can't you have a small sub with a built-in amp and power it like this video listed? Can easily be tied into power, but I'm not an audio guy to know if it can be tied into the actual "sound out" from the pcb or not?!?!

Also, I'm assuming/guessing the small sub box would need/already have crossover as well

Seems doable, unless I'm totally incorrect, which I probably am

Thanks for any help

Virtual On has subwoofers under each seat that can be cranked up to 11. That's what I miss most about that game. The ire from my neighbors when I'd lose a round and the neighborhood would shake...
