Mine doesn't seem to be saving high scores. It's a four slot.

Do they save high scores?

Thanks!

I have a 1 slot with a 120in1 and it will save the high scores for 7 or 8 games. I imagine your 4 slot will save high scores for at least the 4 carts in it, unless certain Neo games don't support high score saving. This is all under the assumption that your motherboard battery is good and currently able to save your soft dip settings.

Im pretty sure the MOBO only save game stats, like number of games played, difficulty level, free play and so on. Mine dosent save high scores but I am also running a 1-slot with a 108-1, and I havent tried other carts in it yet. HSS may depend on the cart, but I dont think any of them have that feature, not sure though.

I am mostly looking for high-score save on Puzzle Bobble. I have an original cart in one of the slots.

Thanks!

If it saves your soft dip settings for the game, then it should save high scores if the game supports it. I'm pretty sure my 120in1 saves my Metal Slug high scores until I play more than 7 or 8 games off the cart and it erases the first game info saved.

If your battery on the mobo is good then it should save your high scores.

With that said, I have a few games that refuse to do this. A boot puzzle-de-pon and a legit magician lord. But in my case it doesn't matter now as I just removed all the batteries off of my MVS mobos.

Leave the game on for 24 hours to recharge the battery.

Also, you should check your battery for leakage. If the solder joints are not bright and shiny then your battery is already leaking. When this happens there will be "fuzz" on the end of the battery - either white or bluish - and the solder joints will go dull as the damage starts to spread.

See my thread here: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203428 for more information.

There's a guide on replacing the battery on a 4 slot on the downloads section of my website.
