The first bezel I had made cost me over $200.00 to have all the art work done. By the time I have it printed and cut and wrapped, go pick it up, bring it home and pack it for shipping, drive to the post office and stand in line at the post office - I make $10.00, WOW. I do it for the klov-ers to help them have a nice looking Stunt Cycle. With all the money I made, I bought a new home, two new cars and I am working on my first million. People do not know the legwork and money put into having a bezel made think it is too pricey. I would like some other people to chime in and tell me what they think.

Speaking as someone who sees a lot of forum posts like this one over the years, and not always here and definitely not always arcade related, i have to ask/say two things:

1) Has anyone ever actually complained about your price and if so, why??? Getting a quality repro of an obscure (yes, this is an obscure game in today's market; a lot of us are forgetting that the core demo of this group is getting younger - Pac-Man is becoming slowly obscure, too, in favor of Blitz and Golden Tee, or Tekken). That repro looks beautiful.

2) On the flip side, what is this post designed to accomplish? Are you angry at someone and need to vent, or did I miss a related thread where this is relevant? Making something as rare and nice as this is going to cost a lot up front and no one here does this for a profit (at least, unless they state it up front - like TNT et al).

That bezel looks really nice. Anyone complaining should be invited to make their own or buy from someone else. If there are imperfections, see prior statement.

I had a potential customer on the for sale site comment that the bezel was a little pricey. I was venting a little because I wanted him and others to know how much time, effort and money it takes when you really care about the quality of the product.

Well, you are right. He's wrong...but that should never get you angry; you're doing what you can. Ask him to trade you for an equally valuable reproduction he made...

I completely understand your pain. Nice looking repro. Just remember we do it for the love of the games and this crazy hobby.
