STUN Runner and Big Event Golf near Greenville, SC (Not Mine- Possibly Free)

So I posted a thread earlier today of 2 games I was offered in Greenville, SC. I was going to pick up Big Event Golf, and leave the STUN Runners- but after seeing how far it is a drive for me- I think I'll have to pass. This is a deal in progress, so it's not completely final yet- I'm just waiting to hear back a good pick-up time. Does anyone else want these? They are supposedly non-working, but the woman knows very very little about them. She also said she may have some spare boards and "screens" to throw in.

I have the woman's email and info, and I'd pass it on to you, so you can sort it out with her. Ideally I'd like to get the golf game, but I'd rather not drive 2 hours one way for a game that I know nothing about. I'd probably just multi it anyway. So any takers? Here's the thread with the pictures she sent me.

I figured I'd help some KLOV'ers out. I wish it was closer, but this is about an hour father than I'd want to drive and I only have a truck big enough for one game. You won't have to compete for this, as it's a deal only I know about. Although I mentioned "possibly free" in the title, the woman told me they were free to a good home.

Thanks a lot. PM me with questions.

Damn. I have storage in Columbia and the space for Stun Runner. But I just started a new job and I'm broke..so even a free game I just don't have the gas money to go get. Arrgh!

Yeah, I'm almost reconsidering this. I do have a trailer, and a small truck. The thing is I have to pull the trailer with our other car. And I don't know if the trailer can hold both games. I have a water damaged cabinet and a non working pinball in the garage. And in the back room I have another non working pin. I can't seem to get rid of any of this shit, and I'm running out of room because of a few other free games I've accumulated over the past several months.

Hell if someone wanted to pick them both up, I'd meet half way to get the golf game, if they didn't have room for both.

If I had any idea how close these games were to working, it might just push me over the edge. I can't just keep accumulating non-working games I don't really want.

Come on people, Free games!

Is she storing them outside? I saw the pics in the other thread and really..if a game is water damaged enough all you could do is pick them up for parts.

Yeah, well I just emailed her. I just got the pictures and info yesterday. I was thinking Greenville was closer to me, until I Googled it. Anyway she isn't super speedy with emails, but I just sent her a message asking about where she's stored them.

Unfortunately I have no means of transporting games right now otherwise I'd be all over this offer considering I drive to Greenville for work every day!

Alright, here is her reply about the game and storage.

They have been stored outside for the last several months under a container...There is no water damage, but I did not detail inspect for any type of moisture...we uncovered them & they looked as they did when they came in, but we did not move them around or open them up...the boards and bill acceptors etc. are inside a building...

JScott, one other guy beat you to the punch on the Stun Runner. If he can't make it this weekend, you're next in line. I think she'd like them gone by this weekend. I still haven't decided if I want the Golf game or not. No one has spoke for it yet, so I may head that way tomorrow, and pick it up myself. Unless someone wants it really bad, I'll probably take it. Again, there doesn't seem to be much interest in it, so I may bite the bullet and drive out there.

Stored outside for months.. umm even covered up they will absorb moister from the air and stickers will peel. Count me out for sure. Definitley not worth the time for games that most likely end up being parted out.

Well I'm heading that way today. Another KLOVer is getting the STUN Runner tomorrow. The lady said she had maybe had some extra "screens" and boards and bill acceptors. She gave no idea how much she had or what she had, so maybe there's an off chance I could get some decent monitors or a board or two that's decent.

I'll report back.

Figured this is the best place to post this. Just got back, and I figured since it hasn't been picked up yet, I'd share the pics. If for some reason you don't want it Cyberwhiz, I'll share the info with someone who does. You said you wanted it for parts, so I assume this won't change your mind.

The cab does have moisture damage. It's been sitting under a tarp on a pallet outside. It's not terrible, but it looks mostly complete save the bezel. The boards all appear there, and look fairly clean. The plastic didn't look damaged, and I would guess it could really clean up. I covered it back up after taking the pictures.

Although I saw a mouse in the cab, I didn't seem like he had touched anything in the PCB/Power Supply Area. I believe he lives in the seat area.

Update: Cyberwhiz picked up STUN Runner on Saturday. And the game I got is an excellent multi candidate. Hopefully the monitor can be rebuilt, and then the trip was well worth it.
