Hey guys...

I am working on 2 720's and I am pulling the giant t-molding off from around the base.

These appear to have been glued in.

What is the best method for removing the severed t-molding spine from then cabinet?

Heat it with a heat gun and pull it out with a pair of needlenose pliers. Mine did the same thing. Dig in there with a flat screw driver too.

Long time ago I bought a set of "dentist" hand tools. One has a right-angle and is sharp, (for scraping plaque?) ...anyway. My Pac CT did the same thing, I dug in there with that and it came out relatively well. Still a pain in the butt.

The alternative is worse though - a groove that's too big is a huge pain when re-attaching the new molding.

I just use my router on stubborn cabs. I don't recall what the proper size was, but great investment

I did manage to get it out with a heat gun... though I imagine a router would have been quicker. I'll try that next time after my arbor and bit arrive.

FYI this was the monster T-molding around the base of the 720's... so that was fun.
