Hey I have a question about stenciling a ballys strikes and spares. This will be my first one that I have done:/ so my question is do you need to take off the side rails? If so is there a way to do so with out damaging the old ones. I know that I should just buy new ones, and I can.I was just wondering if thay would be salvageable? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks Danny

Hi

Yes, you kind of do have to take off the side rails. I suppose you could leave them on, but i suspect the seam there would look a little sloppy. They're not too hard to get off actually. Ive done it a few times and have always had good results. The nails they are held on with are screw nails, so just pry the end up a bit and then twist out. I usually grab hold of them with a very low profile End Nipper and then just pull out. This tool is nice, because the nail doesn't have to be pried out that far (If at all) before the tool can grab it.

No problem. If you damage the nails getting them out, Pinball Resource sells them I know, as do the usual other suppliers I imagine.

i have used a drimall with the little cut off wheels just grind the head off put duck tape around nail head in case you slip so you didnt reck the side rails
