A year ago I bought a Ms Pacman, and it had a 19" Pentranic monitor. The chassis was toast so I ordered a new one.
I put the new one in last year, and after much aggravation and lack of return emails, I gave up on the monitor.

---Now that I've got time to spare, I'm ready to get it up and going.

The problem Im having is a hugely stretched screen on this monitor. No adjustments will fix it either, and that's a real bummer. I've got $90 tied up in the chassis now.. so I would love to get this fixed.
I've even tried a different game on the monitor- same issue.

Any suggestions? Pentranic never returned my emails, etc.

I adjusted the horizontal coil, it helped some but that's the image you see there... after it was adjusted.
I see no vertical adjustment anywhere, assuming there isn't one.

could it be that the chassis/yolk combo isnt correct? I bought this machine as is. just curious.

Because this monitor is vertically mounted, horizontal adjustment will just make the image taller or shorter.

You need assistance with your VERTICAL deflection. That will change the image width on a vertically oriented monitor.

Just for kicks, have you tried this chassis on another tube? What is the tube number? Perhaps you're using a 90 degree chassis on a 100 degree tube?

Report back with the tube number.

Well, without knowing which Pentranic monitor you have, we can't be more specific. BUT - there is a V-Size pot on the chassis somewhere, unless you have a remote board. It might be labeled "Height" instead...

The chassis is a pentranic CH-888. The monitor is a 19" Pentranic tube # A48PNT06X.
