Alright, here's a weird one, but I can't think of where else on the internet anyone might know. When Streetfighter X Tekken came out, they had a contest where if you pre-bought, you got a chance to win an "arcade" unit of the game. Long story short, we have one. It's just an xbox 360 in a fancy cab. It comes with two vs style controllers which are big fat boxes made by mad katz.

The problem is, I can't get the darn system to start up when I hit the xbox button on these controllers. Meaning I have to open the front and manually push the power button to get it going, which negates the whole point of a fake arcade cab. They're USB controllers, but it looks like they go to a USB hub first before hitting the xbox. Anyone have any brilliant ideas on how to make this thing start up from the outside?

Have you tried running the USB directly to Xbox (bypassing the hub) and then hold the guide button down for a few seconds?

Is the guide button the one with the Xbox Icon? The darn cords don't reach for direct contact, sadly. The hub goes through the cabinet. I could take it out and run the cords through there if I have to, but it leaves a nice big hole in the front where the hub was.

Edit: Actually I just checked, and I can't run it through that hole. The darn cords are like 2 feet long. I have no idea why.

Here's the pics. So as you can see, the cords go through the hole in the ... control panel, for lack of a better word. And then they go over to that hub. And the hub is connected to the xbox. They juuuuust won't reach through the hole in the middle.

The control panel come off at all? If so maybe just for a test connect it directly up to the Xbox to see if that will turn it on

Okay, badly behaving remote. Further correct investigation reveals that it will, in fact, boot from the guide button if it's directly plugged in. So it must be the hub. I'm just gonna get cord extenders.

Sure. It's not made of sturdy wood or anything. It's a nice looking cabinet, but it'll never stand up to use like an actual arcade cabinet does. It's got a fake coin door on the front that's already broken, in fact. :)

Nice cab...

Those Mad Catz sticks are a variation of their fight sticks they have for consoles and PC that can be locked together or used separately

I had a couple of their sticks in the past but not those.
