I dont think the CPS 3 games had the suicide battery but i may be wrong.

Sadly, you are very wrong. When these suicide, they do NOT come back. Unlike CPS2, where they've figured them out, CPS3 are still very very fragile.

Your silence makes me assume you don't know when it's been changed, so in other words it's a ticking time bomb.

do you want it what do you want me to look for let me know its in some like metal box with a cd rom drive tell me what I need to do Thanx

the battery is located inside the small black cartridge that fits inside the metal cage. As the other poster said-- CPS3 is pretty volatile in terms of suicide batteries. Not so much in handling them necessarily but more so in actually changing the batteries in them as it is not as easy as CPS2 hardware.

I assume you did not swap the battery yourself so unless it is actually marked on the cartridge or elsewhere then you will not be able to find out when it was done.

All that being said though-- this is an excellent deal for a 2nd Impact set-up, regardless of when the battery is changed. If I was not saving to go to Hong Kong I would buy this just on virtue of how cheap it is even after having owned and sold this game numerous times.

Yes, he's selling it for a wonderful price, which is why Im asking. But as I said, when that thing dies, kiss it goodbye. I killed one of my cps3 carts trying to change the battery, and had another die on my in transit to a person I sold to. Because of that, they really scare me. Still, awesome price.

The cd rom has the actual game data on it, but the cart is the security device. A very good one, too. No cart, no game. A pic of this running shoul assure you of a quick sale.

Research a bit more... they can be revived but only by Capcom. There is no "phoenix" yet. Also, Capcom US has no coin op division anymore, so if you have a dead US Cart you are probably out of luck.
