Hi guys, pretty new to the whole pinball scene but finally bought my first pin the other day.
Street Fighter II by Gottlieb

The machine is in pretty good condition, i have been checking out guides all over the net for cleaning and maintaining Pins. I have given the playfield a good clean and wax, replaced globes and fuses that sort of stuff.

But I'm having a problem with a specific function of the game. At the very top of the ramp on the right hand side there is a 360 spinning flipper that should spin when the right hand side ramp drops. Only problem is it doesn't spin at all. Not sure what i should be looking for to fix this problem. Underneath the the playfield directly below the spinning flipper there is a motor? Could that have burned out?

Just hope someone can steer me in the right direction to fix this.........

Any info would be great.

I would start with the manual. Might be some troubleshooting steps in there specific to that assembly. At the very least, there should be a diagram showing it and all the parts. When you understand how it's supposed to work, you can figure out how to fix it. Check for the obivous - broken wires, see if you can move it manually, to see that there isn't something binding it, that sort of thing.

Get into service mode/test mode and turn on the motor to see if it will work. That will tell you in itself. Check all of your fuses. The motor is fused. Make sure you use a meter to check by removing the fuse. It is likely a wire, the motor, or the transistor on th eboard which drives it.

FYI, I have a complete SFII playfield, The cabinet got wet and ruined. That said I will gladly make you a good deal on the motor or a board located on the playfield. If you have any broken lastics I have the perfect plastics set as well.
