Street Fighter II' Champion Edition Big Blue on eBay

http://cgi.ebay.com/street-fighter-...162?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f50bfd9a

I've recently been learning a lot about arcade machines and Street Fighter II Champion Edition specifically. From what I've read this appears to be the rare original dedicated cabinet.

If you look at the screen shot it looks like it has one of the Accelerator hacks installed - doesn't appear to be the (what I believe to be the) more common Accelerator pt. 2 because the TestRon phone number is at the bottom of the screen and it doesn't have the rainbow logo.

The control panel looks overlay looks weird - I can't tell if it's some type of top covering or if that's discoloration due to smoke or some other damage?

Just trying to help out by posting this. If there are apparent reasons this isn't an original cabinet or if there are obvious red flags I'd love to learn from your experience.

Thanks for the clarification.

I had seen a thread where someone mentioned wishing they could find an original blue dedicated, and saw this in the KLOV entry for Street Fighter II: "Capcom originally made "Champion Edition" available only in dedicated form. They said that only a limited number of these dedicated units would be manufactured, and the game would never be produced in kit form."

I suppose less common than conversions != rare (if the assumption about them being less common than conversions is even true...)

Nothing rare about this 3KOAM cab.
They just applied a factory kit to it.

It probably is not the mosr original cab for SF2 but CE was sort of a 1.5 version anyways.

Its more like a more correct cab for the capsom coop games like captain com, knights, AvP, slammasters, D&D etc....
