red z back ded. street fighter 2 champ ed.
nice looking from front, cab average but generally nice

I am guessing 700 to 900?

Personally, I'd say you're right on the money there

I am not a SFII expert, but I don't think the red z back is a dedicated cabinet. yes, they sold it in that cab(especially on west coast as 3koam was in Fremont), but it was a kit. the only dedicated cab would probably be considered this. But if you want to call the red z back dedicated, I guess you can. As for a price, That price range sounds right.

There actually were dedicated champion Edition z-backs. There would be a serial # on the bezel that matches the cabinet if it was factory built.

Would it still fetch that much as a well done restoration? I have a zback, board and side art that I may convert.

I would not convert it to something else unless you plan on keeping it for yourself. As SFIICE, its worth as much as it can possibly get in that cab.

As for what it will sell for, it depends on your area. In the bay area, a nice Z back with art will sell in that range.

Well I have a zback cab that has a crappy pool game in it and a sf2 champions board seperate. I'm thinking of basically "building" a sf2champions, just wasn't sure if it would be worth the time, money and effort to aquire the right marquee, cp, bezel and paint the cabinet. Sounds like it probably is

Well, the pool game is probably worthless. Maybe $150 working.

the SFIICE pcb is worth about $200. You probably need, plexi to fix the control panel, a new overlay, side art, bezel art and marquee. figure about $200 for that.

So with all that, its probably worth it to put it back to SFII.
