Here is a build I did for a customer what do you guys think? ABS plastic from China and Sanwa controls and parts from Japan. Not sure I like the Sanwa speakers though I think cheap ones from a dynamo cab sound better. Next time I might pay the extra $75 for a sanwa tri res monitor to see if there is any difference. These are perfect for mame set ups. All in all plays great.

Is that cab a kit you can order from China?

Sadly NO. That would have made my job a whole heck of a lot easier. The stickers are custom printed the ABS components are altered to house the style monitor and the controls, mechs, so on are from Japan. Might have to send the HD pcb from Japan back and trade it out for a CPS3 kit that has unlocks, the version they sent me was a Europe no cd version, not sure that is the version my customer wants. This version however plays in High def that looks pretty sweet. Getting permission to post these pics was a cow too. As far as ordering the cheaper made kits like these from china will cost you over 2,500 unless you have customs and shipping agents in your back pocket, there is also that whole 90 day fab and pack on a boat wait. I order the upgraded plastics from china and upgraded internals from Japan in pieces which takes down the price A LOT!

While I have a high appreciation of the work that went in to make this look nice, I just can't get over that "kiddie" look to these or the candy cabs. I'm not a big fan of cabinets which pretty much force you to sit down. That's what an xbox and a couch is for.

Sorry for being a negative nancy. The arts are real cool on that though.

Thanks, but hey I just build them to order, what the customer wants he gets, I even had to convince him that this would be better, he wanted to attempt a cocktail fighter build, I put the question to him that players would have to sit side by side and crane the neck down to see screen, he opted for this version instead. As far as kiddie goes, I agree which makes this perfect for a kiddie mame.

I, for one, think that cab is badass. If I may ask, how much did it cost the buyer?

Total cost including shipping to his location is $1,850 for his custom build. I am going to do two more like this with no custom art, maybe some generic art and a Legendary Arcades mame system for $1,700. The costs sound kinda steep to some, but then again you are getting a BRAND NEW ARCADE, your choice of controls, sanwa, happ, etc. With a mame system and 60 day warranty and life time support on system. This is the third one so far and I am getting no complaints.

A bit more than I'd spend, personally, but that's honestly just for lack of cash on my part.

I can DEFINITELY see the value there, especially if you throw in the tri-rez monitor. If I had that kind of money lying around, and wanted a cab that wasn't a project, I'd absolutely consider buying one of those from you. And for what it's worth, as someone who's owned several American and Japanese cabinets, American cab speakers tend to be better the vast majority of the time, at least for me.

Great work; from what I can see it looks very clean and professional.

Thank you, I really appreciate the positive feed back. I am def switching the speakers though.
