I had a few people contact me looking for the Dynamo or generic style fighter cabinet lexan. I was shipped this piece and it measures 25 1/4'" X 7.5". It also has 4 small mounting holes drilled. Can anyone tell if this layout is the mass produced one ? I don't really want to make a 1 off custom then sell them to people needing them and they be off. ANyone who might have the exact spec layout for any of these kindly link them in this thread so I can have these made for those wanting the lexan.

not going into work today, plus that cab is totally buried now, but if I get a chance I'll check it for you.

Looks like my HS5 layout, but mine has an additional hole in the center bottom for a bolt.

think my control panel still has the original one when it was a street fighter 2, will try to check it for you since i might need a new one.

Thanks guys I'd like to make the original one as those would be more beneficial to the community

Bumping this back up to see if anyone can get these dimensions for the dynamo cabs please.

When I got my first couple corner cut Dynamo cabs I assumed that they were all the same. I found out that the HS1, HS5 and HS9 all have differences. You'd think that the HS1 would just be narrower and that the 5 & 9 would be the same layout with an extra inch on each side, but that's not always the case. I have attached pics of several of my corner cut panels and you can see that they are very different.

All of the panels pictured are original cuts made to the panels and aren't swiss-cheesed, or even the universal with trackball or triangle 3 button style. The SSF2T layout is very different than the SF2CE, the joystick placement is in line with the punch buttons. You might think this is just a custom install, but look at the Pandora's Box X cab behind it - same layout. The SF2 Hyper Fighting behind the CE has the same exact template and spacing but is narrower because it's a different cab style. The plexi in front was removed off an HS1 SF2WW I just sold.

It looks like you have measurements for the HS5, the ones I took are from the HS1 and I suspect the pattern on the SSF2T are originally from the HS9.

It gets even more confusing because there are also 3KOAM Z backs and California Gaming Corner Cut cabs (I think that was what the name was) that are also somewhat interchangeable (I have those cabs too - the MK in the corner of the picture is a Z back) and these layouts are also slightly different.

Point is there isn't really just one
Dynamo or generic style fighter
layout.

I think the HS1, HS5 and Z-Back are probably the most common and the ones people are looking to put 6 button fighters in.

If you made the 19" HS1 SF2WW and the 25" HS5 SF2CE styles I'm sure you'd make a lot of guys happy. For the Z-Back I can't help on exact button placements because mine has a factory cut MK1 layout, but if you need any other specs I'm happy to measure up whatever you need.

With the SF2 style CP's for the Z-backs, HS9, and HS5, I have noticed two variations in the button layout. There are the true SF2 layouts where the exact center line running between the punch and kick buttons is in line with the center of the joystick. Then there are other ones where the center of the joystick is in line with the center of the punch buttons; with the kick buttons being below the punch buttons. I think these were early manufacturer rebadges of stock 3 button layouts that were then converted once the SF2 craze kicked in. So yeah, there is more than one factory configuration. Careful in your marketing claims otherwise you might get some angry returns.

You'd make a few guys happy too if you did the same for the Gen 1 Big Blue. I can get you a trace of that too.
