Has anybody seen this before? Its a Gunsmoke mod that removed the three directional buttons and converted it to a single button fire in the direction of the joystick. I would think playing the game this way would really suck because you need to be able to run in one direction while firing in another. But that is besides the point.

I am interested in completing my kit. When I acquired it, it came with the extra pcb boards and instructions. However the roms that were included were the original ones pulled off the board. Then they were placed in the box probably for safe keeping. At some point the pcb's were replaced back in the box but those modded roms were forgotten and left on the board.

Does any one have these roms they want to sell or could maybe just dump the data so I can burn them? The company that sold these was known as VIDEOWARE with an address of 600 Clover Street Los Angeles. At least that is what is printed on the outside of the box.

I have included a picture of the kit for reference.

In the manual.

I have that mod explained in the original manual. Seems like people didn't wanna drill new hols for button 2 and 3...

I might be in the minority but I love the game....and yet, I'm horrible at it! As kid, there was a discount store by my grandmother's house with a Gunsmoke and we got to play that game as a treat. It had only one fire button.

Part of me wants the original board....playing on the 60-1 is fun but the sound is sooooooo loud. I'm sure I'll break down and buy it one day....actually, I almost purchased the game in the link provided above.

Even though I played the game with one button as a kid, three buttons definitely feels "right".

This is one of my favorite games. It was in the pizza parlor and I just kept playing it until I one night I defeated the Wingates. It took a few months. Although the achievement did not get me laid, I felt a sense of accomplishment defeating such a difficult game.

I cannot see how this game could be played with the one button mod. At least to a point. You have do be able to dodge and fade shots because there is so much going on in some levels it would be impossible to 'run' in the direction of your guns.

I have several boards, marquees, and artwork. Just looking for the right cabinet to make a dedicated machine.

The one button kit is a novelty but I want to have the rest of it.

Never seen this before but I imagine the game would be even more brutal with it on.
