I'm going to be storing some games soon but i want to make sure i do it right.
What do you guys recommend to keep your games safe in storage?

Thanks!
Dan

Inside - bug killing stuff like ant/roach traps. Make sure no AA batteries left hooked up. Um. If you can 'wrap it' with that wide packing stuff, to keep animals and humidty out, all the better. Tarp or tarps around the outside.

All I can think of at the moment. Poor game. :( Deserted, left alone... Sniff. :D

I use stretch-wrap. The wide stuff that they wrap pallets with. I use them at my business with a special dispenser. If you just need one to roll on by hand, they sell them here:

I will also do this with games when I travel a little further than normal to pick them up. I've driven through rain and they are still dry as a bone when I'm done. It is worth every penny.

If Moisture is a concern - I have used Damprid before on some pins when i had them in the basement. You can find it at local hardware store, it comes in a small plastic container. Moisture absorbing crystals translate the water to the base of the cup, keeps em dry on the inside. Its like a big Silica package. Put them in the base of the cabs - just dont forget they are in there when moving them.

If it's going to be a cold environment, you may want to be careful with any glass artwork. I've heard of people keeping them inside so they don't risk having the paint flake.

Edit: I see you're in So Cal so that probably isn't a huge issue lol. Here in MI on the other hand, we just had some snow flurries this morning....grrr. At least it didn't stick to the ground.
