STL SA roll call 5/10

I'll be there. Rob called me personally and told me he was going to be there in the flesh and that he would "make good" on the money he owes me. Shouldn't be hard as I'll probably be buying a ton of stuff.....

Awww Vectorman, I was hoping someone owed money like yourself would show up and body slam someone. As much as I love drama, I love the auctions more. Nice of Rob to finally get in touch with you, and that answers my curiousity if he'd be there to face the music from people.

I will be there for sure. Coming straight after work. So most likely be there a bit after 5, then go eat, and come back before the bidding begins. Probably won't be buying anything unless there's a pin I want or prices are as cheap as they were last time. I'm hoping for a good turnout of machines. Not sure if I'll be rocking the shirt and tie this time, but most likely will since I'm coming from work. Say hi if you see me unless there's 2 guys who dress up to go to arcade auctions.

Nevermind the more I think about that, its obvious you just meant if you paid in cash you only pay 10%. Anyone bringing anything? Not that I would seeing what's gone on with SA, but you never know.

I'm going. I have a Shinobi I'm thinking of bringing along. Needs a flyback and lumber in the front, but works. Anyone want it? Also thinking of bringing those mystery boards I got and an exit sign.

Would have been nice to get the cash only call sooner, I just threw cash in the bank today

Hmmmm, that's really not what I was expecting as I don't imagine everyone has massive amounts of cash on them at all times. Either way I'll be there.

3 sitting here ready

g07 horz almost no burn $95
7k uni med uniform burn $85
Sanyo Horz almost no burn $115 (Will need vert frame to mount in dk cab)

Pretty pathetic turn out of games, but actually a lot of people there. I was only interested in that mini Neo Geo and the Arkanoid but left right as the bidding started. Good running into people there and chatting. Hopefully in August they have a good showing. I'll be interested to see how the all cash deals affected the pricing.

Agreed. I just got home, empty handed. I was hoping for a pin and they were pretty outrageous. Most of them had issues, especially that Party Zone and it still went over a grand. I saw a few good deals but most of the prices seemed high this time around.

Anyone notice any phantom bids? Still pisses me off when they say the prices in Missouri are too low, especially when I saw the opposite effect.

Yeah, to me they got caught a couple of times with the phantom bids, twice on the same machine too, can't remember which one off the top of my head, but it was in the middle of the main row. I think Troy called them out on one, at least I think it was Troy, He stopped Rob (I'm assuming that was Rob, someone correct me if I'm wrong) and asked him where the other bidder was, and he struggled for a minute trying to find the "bidder" on the other side of the room.

Didn't get the prices (forgot to bring a pen and paper), anyone get them? They are making things more difficult now, as they aren't writing the prices on the machines. Once I saw they were doing this, I got suspicious thinking they were going to overcharge people, but I didn't hear anyone say that happened to them.

I was there about 5:15 to check out what they had-there wasn't anything there of interest to me (into the classics myself). There were two Tornado foosball tables, one pool table, maybe 7-8 pinball machines, one slot machine, some crane games, and maybe 25-30 standup video games. A lot of the items were pretty beat up. Just wasn't my thing at all. At least I didn't have to drive far--about 7 miles.

Yeah if I'm remembering correctly, the only "classics" (and boy am I using that term loosely) they had was a tetris in a nintendo cabinet and an Arkanoid in a Stern Cocktail cab... Feel free to correct me if there was anything else I'm forgetting...
Trying to remember what else... A few Trophy hunting type games, only 1 60-1 multi, an Ultracade, Daytona USA Upright, Cruisin World Upright, Madden Football, Blitz 99, CarnEvil, Ameridarts, Lethal Enforcers, Area 51, a few Neo Geo's including one of those mini's...
Man with so few games I thought I'd remember more.
I know there were 2 Crazy Taxi's that went for around 300 each, couple of dedicated Cruisin Exoticas that went for $500 each.
