STL CL: Someone save this Tron...

You sure it was fully working at $350? Because I got the $350 Tron cabaret a while back (traded a shuffleshot for it). I don't remember that one being $350.

Looking at his old ad, I think he wanted $350 plus another game.

Parting out a tron upright is stupid, most of the value is in the stickers. I already sent him an offer on the boards before I even saw this posting here.

Not mine. It's been listed whole and working for $350 before. Either the market's at rock bottom or some of you know something I don't. Now it's on the chopping block. Someone needs to save it.

the guy had it listed at 750.00 a long time ago. rough rag-tag games are not selling right now, only nice shape games and pins are selling. ed

Yeah, he did come down a lot on his price before finally deciding to part it out. But I've made a couple bulk buys recently and I also hate TRON so, I just can't afford to shell out the money to save it.

For $350 I would take it in a heartbeat if I didn't own it already. I'm half tempted to buy it and flip it, but he's had it in a stronger market and can't seem to sell it. Just seems a shame to part a working Tron to me.

Well he can't be that serious about parting it, he never even answered my email about the boards.

Think its just a scare tactic so someone will jump to buy it so it will be "saved"...before he parts it out. Seen it happen before... The threat of parting out a machine is enough sometimes for someone who may have been on the fence to get it.

See for me what is holding me back is the price of the art package that it most will most certainly need. He starts that it needs new sideart.

I've played TRON (with the correct controls on a dedicated upright machine) and I just do NOT like it. Sure you can say it is because I suck at it...whatever. The reason I don't like it is because I simply don't find playing it very fun.

Don't get me wrong TRON has a beautiful package! The only reason I have ever considered owning one is because of the aesthetics. However, at this point I am sitting on 45 machines (several projects) with a fiance who says I need to get down to 30 :(.

That means the only reason I would consider picking this game up would be to flip it. I don't know if I can. I've seen a few TRONS on the STL Craigslist since I've started collecting (early this year) for decent prices and they all took a very long time to sell. Also I doubt I could make any real profit if I could.

Well I left the seller a message. No response yet. Scare tactic or not, I can't believe he still has it. Something's gotta be seriously wrong with it.
