I read in one of the many Ram Controls threads here that all of the yoke orders shipped last week. A few emails later, and I got a reply on Wednesday that my order had shipped. Dave asked for my address again so he could get "to the root of the problem immediately". I haven't received a replay to emails or PMs since.

I intended to keep this 4 month waiting process private, but it is obvious that the people who publicly complain get their items faster. I try to be really patient, but it is just annoying when I see Dave post asking for positive feedback from all the freebies he sent out while I am waiting for information about my paid order. At least half of my emails and PMs are never replied to; I just don't get it. He took the time to post here yesterday, but not let me know about my order. That just doesn't seem right.

I ordered this a month before school was finished last semester; now my summer break is one week from being over. I am just really bummed.

Sorry for the rant, but I just don't want this to fall back into the same pattern of weeks or months of being ignored.

Good luck. I "pre-ordered" a yoke from him last year. Still no yoke.

Dave,
I can see that you are checking the forum every few hours. You have had $500 dollars of my money since April; you need to keep me updated on the status of my order. We give you a lot of breaks because you make parts that no one else is making, but you just push it too far. Your lack of communication is just inexcusable. We are all busy Dave, but you just show a complete lack of respect for your customers. Email me with the status of my order today, 8/14, or refund my $500. At this point, I don't care how good of a person you seem to be, or what you can make; you are just not doing your job!

Paul

I too am awaiting my yoke. I ordered back in October of 2009. Dave told me last week via email that it would ship Friday or Monday and he would get me a tracking number.

It's now a week later and I have no tracking number or yoke. I've emailed him twice this past week with no response.

It sounds to me he bit off more then he can chew. I thought he could pump these out and took all your money to invest in this business. Well guess what the money is all spent so he cant issue refunds. I dont think he initial intentions was to scam anyone. He is in way over his head. I think all you guys are going to get screwed..

I don't think they're going to get screwed, I think they fell through the cracks somehow. A week or so ago when he did the sales, I ordered a pile of stuff on Sunday and got it on Tuesday. I think it may be impossible to efficiently manage research/dev/production AND sales.

.... I think all you guys are going to get screwed..

That really is an idiotic thing to say. I suppose that you only want to pump extra fuel here to keep this going (with success, I felt the urge to react on your post). It's better to think before speaking.

Sure, Dave has shown in the past that his business conducts lacked some professionalism with regard to order handling and shipping. But very recently he solved all the back orders in a very short and may I say profesional way: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=132731&highlight=ram+controls&page=48

What I don't unserstand is why pcolson, nick3092 and maybe others didn't hop on that train, surely a missed chance. The reason which pcoloson gave, wanting to keep this private, can't be very solid because he now goes public, in an unnecessary new topic, why not use the old one (oh, he did also!). That of course is his good right, but again, if he had been more alert and activ on the other topic, he probably wouldn't need to have done this.

That doesn't mean that I don't hope that you guys will be served very soon, I'm sure that it has Dave's attentiona and that he will take care of it, and that he indeed will have set up a network soon to sell his great products via resellers.

Yeah, it was a missed chance for sure. I was emailing Dave during that thread, and he kept saying that my order was shipping. I emailed Dave when I saw in that thread that all of the yokes had been shipped out. He said that mine had indeed shipped, and then he asked for my address so he could try to track it down. He has been ignoring my emails and PMs since then. That is why I started the thread. I was sitting here waiting for my order, or even for information, and at the same time reading about how great it is that Dave is back and how quick he shipped out all of the freebies this week.

Apparently Dave only responds to public complaints, so I decided to publicly complain. I want an end to this. I gave Dave a ton of chances over the last 4 1/2 months because I really want some of the parts he is producing. He is a great engineer, but one of the worst sellers I have ever seen. I didn't pre-order, and I have been hearing that my order is on its way every time Dave decides to respond to an email, which is not very often.

I planned on using the yoke, and even more importantly, the chips that I ordered, this summer while school was out. Now that school is about to start up again, I won't have time to use them when and if they do show up.

I still have credit left over with Dave after this purchase is resolved. I will be very vocal on all future orders. I learned my lesson on this one. I shouldn't have to come to a forum and complain so a seller will actually send me what I paid for, but apparently that is what works for Dave. Then he can next-day some free crap and everything is all good. Dave hasn't logged in to see my latest PMs, but hopefully I will have my parts or a refund soon.

I will apologize in advance, but I will post about this everywhere until Dave settles this. My patience is gone on this one.

I am sympathetic to your cause, you deserve your order to be shipped if all you say is true. I found emails with Dave to be "touch and go". I emailed him yesterday with no response. This was after having email communications without issues for the first time earlier this week. I'm going to guess that the type of contract work he does takes him away from things to the point where he's unable to ship orders or reply to emails.

I just got a PM from Dave saying that the order will ship out on Monday. I am way less cranky now that communication has been restored. I will update on Tuesday.

Hopefully this means all the remaining yokes will be shipped now. A couple of weeks ago, Dave indicated he had at least six more yokes to ship to be caught up. I too have been waiting since early May as part of the May 2010 KLOV "Drawing" post. Since mine was a much more recent order, I have been just e-mailing Dave directly on status. I am just glad that he has shipped a bunch of other yokes to all the people waiting much longer so as to move my order up in the queue.

One interesting thought though.... I found it a little problematic that he kindly gave away and shipped some free stuff before shipping the remaining paid orders. It would have be nice to see him caught up first.

Anyone that has an order pending should go add your list to the thread at the link below. Dave obviously is not organized on these old orders and you need to remind him.

He made a very good effort to get caught up and was even confirming delivery, etc. There was certainly great communication occurring at the end of the other thread. Just add yourself and everyone is watching that thread and Dave will take care of it.

I received the yoke on Tuesday, and Dave is putting together the chip lot now, so hopefully that will arrive soon. All is good as long as the communication is there. Thanks Dave, and I just sent you a PM; damn klov sales!
