Still have your first game?

First game

I was reminded of my first game at the Seattle show yesterday. Wish I still had it! :(

One of the local guys (forget his name) brought out a nice assortment of old Atari games from the 70's. I just about crapped myself when I saw Tank sitting there!! That was my first game almost 30 years ago. When you're an only child, it's not much fun to play by yourself but was a hoot when a friend came over. My mom hated it (big and ugly, made too much noise, etc...) and GAVE IT AWAY when I was gone for a few weeks in the summer!
The guy who brought that also had an Atari Football which I had never really played before. I couldn't believe how much fun that game is....and now I must find one!
My second ever game was Star Castle when I was in high school....still wish I had that one too!

So, to the cool guy at the Seattle pinball show wearing the Kee Games tshirt- Thank you for bringing your games out and the good memories that came along with. And curse you for getting me hooked on Atari Football! :)
And to everyone else- If you or someone you know has a halfway decent Atari Football in the Seattle-ish area....please let me know.

Thanks,
Chris

Yup, Street Fighter was my first game and still have it. Only had to replace the power supply. Mortal Kombat was my second and all time favorite. One day I will own a Killer Instinct and my garage-cade will be complete.

Greenacarina,

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed playing my games. I was actually surprised to see Tank being played as much as it was. I figured the game play would be to slow for most of the people there and it would be largely ignored but it was good to see that was not the case. It seemed to stay busy with a wide range of age groups playing it. I hope you are able to find a football. It is a great game and one of my personal favorites. It wears you out but it always a blast to play. Well as long as you can find somebody to play against you.

Thanks for coming out and supporting our show. It's a lot of work but it really is fun seeing others playing and enjoy your games.
Matt

I don't. It was a Centipede cabinet that someone had converted, poorly, to a MK. I completely redid it and turned it into a KI cabinet. Professionally redid everything. Then I got a lead on a real KI cabinet so it was time to go. Sold it to a guy who put a multi board in there. Sad to see it go as like most with their first cabinets, I put way too much money into it.

Yes, Jungle King. But it's one game away from being pushed out of the arcade. Probably won't get rid of it though. It'll just become a "garage game".

Yes, I still have mine but my dilemma is which I would consider my first. I won my first game (Galaga) on Ebay but while I was waiting for it to be delivered from Southern California, a Champ Sprint came up here locally. Technically, Champ Sprint is the first game in the house but Galaga is the first game I owned. So is it Galaga or Champ Sprint? What do you think?

First one in your possession... The Ebay deal could of gone bad. My $.02 anyway.

The first game I bought is Donkey Kong and it is never leaving my possession.:)
It is the only game I have ever really wanted.
