Sticker Printing

www.stickerguy.com is running a special right now on metallicized material with black ink - but it might be gold and not silver, can't remember. Even if it's not the special of the month, their stickers are very inexpensive. And they're located in Vegas.

...that's important to me. :D

Stickerguy is the best place for custom stickers for dirt cheap. I used to use them for my band stickers, parties I was DJing, etc.

I've used the quick print places that do labels for other labels. The only hitch is you have to do a whole sheet, which kind of stinks.

Which is why I have a sheet of around 20 labels left from an Airworthiness Directive that I printed, that were still cheaper than the manufacturer's cost. Go figure.

I'm with you.... I remeber this as well...

I did a quick search, and came up empty. But I know it's here. It's either poorly labeled, or buried inside another thread.

Here's one thread, but I feel like the one I'm thinking of is another.

Is this it? They mention a sticker tutorial down the first post a bit:

I feel like the one I'm thinking of is more recent than that one.

There is some info there, but it looks like a lot of the links are dead.

I feel like it was sometime after etienne stopped doing them, and someone else posted a DIY that was pretty straightforward.

I've never created metallic stickers myself (I'm gonna have to check out that sticker guy link). I've made reproduction serial plates by creating artwork, printing it on clear labels, and then applying that to aluminum. So they end up like serial plates that need to be screwed on.

That said, if metallic paper is something anyone can buy and toss through a printer it'd be easy enough to do on your own! I just don't know if it requires a special printer or not...
