Well I've not posted before as I've never had all of my games in a condition where I was happy with them. I think I finally have them there, so I thought I'd throw up some pics. There are still quite a few little things I'd like to touch up, but nothing terribly pressing.

It's nothing fancy; I've not done any "complete" restorations, just cleaned up cheaply-gotten-games to get them in reliable and decent cosmetic condition. I should also mention that I've not converted any original games to get to these; typically I've just changed existing conversions.

Anyway, it's just a corner of my unfinished basement, but it brings me and the family a lot of joy. Thanks to all who have helped me along the way.

thanks for posting, glad you and the family enjoy them, thats what it is all about anyway. ed

nice

no such thing as a "humble arcade", an arcade is an arcade. very nice, now put some arcade junk on top of the games and on the walls! we are all the keeper of the arcade games!

Man this might be my ideal collection. I love Neo Geo and pacman.

Thanks again for your kind words. I consider myself a complete novice on these boards, so I tend to lay low other than to ask the occasional dumb question. Some clarifications on what these actually are (and were)...

The Gauntlet is upgraded to Dark Legacy, even though the graphics aren't.
The Jungle Hunt (green Taito) is a 60-in-1, bought it as some cheesy 90's SEGA shmup.
The Kram (red Taito) is a 19-in-1, bought it as a Pit Boss poker game (luckily it still had some KRAM artwork).
The Neo-Geo is converted to a 1-slot with a 138-in-1 cart.

I do have some arcade and console wall hangings that haven't made it up yet...I'll get them up there eventually.

Nice collection of games that you should be proud of. They look nice and you have variety so you can find something to suit your mood. Besides, you can only play one at a time. :D

Actually it goes out about another 30 ft, then turns 90 degrees and goes another 100 ft. Part of me wants to fill the whole thing with dedicated classics. There is definitely something better about playing Pac on my dedicated machine over my multicade. I just don't know if that something is worth thousands of dollars and years of my life to attain. I'd like a shooter and a driver, but those don't often come up cheaply. Until the unpassable deal comes up (and I'm sure it eventually will), I'm settled. :)

no blacklight carpet? no toppers? no custom neon?

good. nice to see some games in a plain basement.
thanks for sharing. interesting choices, too.

Very nice, and thank you for ATTACHING the images so all of us can see them. Some people here post photobucket links and those aren't always accessible to everyone (coughPHETcough) :D

Never!

Actually, just you saying this means that some great shooter or driver or shooting driver (see: Night Stocker) is about to pop up for sale in the Fox River Valley area...

You know, somewhere deep down I was hoping this. Sort of like saying "Oh, I'll NEVER win the lottery" in hopes that this will somehow improve your chances.

Your basement looks identical to mine in terms of being unfinished but it's only because we don't own the house,so I cant hang drywall and I don't want to lay down carpet only to tear it all back up once we move. Are you in the same situation,or have you just not gotten to it yet? I have thirty one machines on one side and estimate I have room for fourty more on the other side but unfortunately I ran out of outlets, lol. Nice collection that you should definately be proud of.
