Steve Wiebe Performing Live in Chicago! Jan 15th!

Awesome! If you all have any ideas of what you want to be included in the DK101 "class" please let me know. Right now Steve wants it to be very simple, for the novice with questions afterwards for everyone, but if there are specific things you all want included for sure we can try to make it more interesting and in depth. its all for fun and for a reason to get to do a small group Q & A with Steve but please let me know what we can do to make it more interesting. I will also try to sort out an online feed.

The 3rd elevator screen was a HUGE hang up for me for the LONGEST time.... I had to go to Youtube to finally figure it out. I think it'd be nice to see how a PROFESSIONAL handles it with ease........

He explains that in the movie. Go to the middle of the top platform on a spring that lands to the LEFT of DK's foot. Now, head to the ladder on one that lands to the far right. If the next spring lands to the left go up the ladder. If it lands to the right, retreat.

What I would like to know are some of the things he hasn't discussed. Predicting wild barrels, clearing the 3rd stage effectively, and barrel grouping strategies.

LOL. Yes, he's still married...

I also believe there is a movie in the works. I saw a local show (Evening Magazine) where his wife was describing (jokingly) who she wants to play her part.

hey all, thanks for all the support for this event so far! there are a still tickets / slots left for the RSVP only DK101, ($12) and all of the record attempts are first come first serve.

i hope this a fun opening for our store and arcade room and I really look forward to your comments and constructive criticism. we want to build a nice, fun place for classic games that satisfies not just the casual shopper but also the discerning gamers and arcade preservationists as well! i will post our working game list the week of as well as some pictures. Look forward from responses!

As far as I know, there is no movie being made. It has been talked about and a studio bought the rights...

Class size expanded

Update - The response to the class has been awesome, we sold through all of the slots we had. so we are making room and adding more slot and doubled the size of the class! if you want to sign up, goto logan-hardware.com

Hey everyone,
We are going to announce this tomorrow morning officially, but i thought i should let all the KLOV friends know right now!

Basically, I am going to be putting my personal collection of arcade games into my record store that will available free to all paying logan hardware customers. I am going to put out 35 or so of my collection and cycle some in and out as I can. I will know the full list closer to the date and will re-post. We are doing this as part of the re-opening of the store with our expanded selection of LPs, and Steve Weibe is going to help us celebrate!

Steve is going to come in and play live, and on top of that he is going to do a VERY basic "class" called DK101... to help the novice understand the game better. There will also be a q&a with steve and more personal time then with the performances so if you are interested read the info below and sign up!

DK101 is $12, and only for 1hr, but Steve will be there all day after that trying to break his record.

Hope to see some of you there, and meet in person!

Just signed up for the class -- my wife and are planning to make a weekend out of it (flying up from Nashville).

My high score is only in the 50K range -- hope to come home with some better skills!

Really looking forward to it!

How did you get him to come all the way from WA to a Chicago hardware store? $12 per person hardly covers his traveling and hotel.

Damnit! Damnit! Damnit! Damnit! Something cool finally happens close to me and my wife has me throw a damn party that day!!! Damnit! I so want to check out that class!

Update: So I said screw it and decided to order 2 spots since it's early in the day. I guess I got the last 2 spots. Yay me!
