Somewhat off topic. Some of you might know that Steve had a hand in some of the songs in King of Kong. What you may not know is that he has been working on putting out a CD for a while... he finally finished it.

He gave me a copy last night and its good. check it out on his web site:

I'm all for a persons right to practice faith however they choose (or choose not to), but couldn't this have been promoted in another way rather than piggy backing faith on your King of Kong arcade site?

I ordered the CD the other day. For $10, why not! And, it comes with an autographed DVD!

I see your point, however, I say ride the fame. It's not going to last forever. Take advantage of what you can while it lasts. Good job Steve.

I got to watch 4 xmas's the other night *boy why was he even in this movie?* Did he only have 1 line in the hole thing.

I was looking forward too seeing it just becouse i heard he was in it.

Speaking of record holders, where the hell has Gorfchampion been? He's been gone since the end of November, right after the TG High score debate thread. Did he head to Funspot to kick some ass? Just like the hero in many 80's movies? Cool.

I suppose. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy and I wish him all the luck in the world with his music. I guess I just prefer to keep my faith and my hobby separate.

Separation of church and hobby?

:D

I say use it while you can - he's at about 14:59 minutes in his 15 minutes of fame

A "contemporary Christian" album?

Aww, that's quite disappointing. (I was hoping to hear some leftover tunes from his "grunge" days.)

He's still around. I know he's lurking at times but apparently he's busy with his 2nd kiddo now too!

I thought it was stevewiebe.com, not kingofkong.com.

billy mitchell probably has his CD ready to be released at any moment...

He's at about 17:29 of his 15 minutes by my watch. At 18 minutes, you go from making music to pretending your kid got launched in a balloon to stay famous.

i'm a damn fine drummer myself, and i do have to say the drum solo he threw down on his kid's toy set during king of kong was really impressive. somebody that talented at music belongs releasing music in my opinion, and i wish him best of luck.

If he wants to include his religious faith and link it with other hobbies than that's his right. He's not forcing anyone to listen to his music or follow his gaming quests. I like to keep my hobby seperate from deeper life issues but thats strictly my preference and not something I would try to push on others.
