STERN's latest facebook teaser...

Oooph, I'd rather hear actors than the retards who did the voicework in the first game.

CLAIRE! YOU are THE master of UNLOCKING! (or some shit like that)

If it was a zombie theme, yeah - I think they'd go with Walking Dead or Zombieland (sequel coming).

Somehow I doubt they're gonna do a zombie game...Stern tries to pick themes w/ mass demographic appeal. Zombies limits the amount of people who would buy/play the game. Gore=No Kids.

Maybe, but I bet it would be cheaper to get Capcom to license the game version than the movie Resident Evil. Sure, it wouldn't be for kids, but a teenage/20's crowd would love it. Doesn't Stern need to get into that demographic a bit more?

the walking dead. fantastic series on AMC.

if you're into zombies at all, you should check this one out....i think it hits DVD/BR next week. it's a well acted/well written drama that just happens to have a zombie apocalypse as the background.

there is a Walking Dead marathon going on on AMC right now...

The thing is, they can get the teenage/20's crowd with a title like Iron Man - but ALSO get kids and people in their 30's/40's. They can't afford "niche"....they need something that interests both genders and all ages. That's why Simpsons, Pirates, and Lord of the Rings were their best sellers ...and Iron Man has sold more than the 3 or 4 games that came before it. I know people get all persnickety about licenses - but it's massively important for sales numbers.

as for a licensed alien theme that i haven't seen anyone mention......what about "V"??? it has a cult following from the 80's tv show and the new show has gotten pretty good ratings (now in its second season).

that would be pretty cool....

While I understand what you're saying, I don't agree with it. Rolling Stones disproves it by itself. You think they're going to get the teenage crowd or kids with that? If Stern has to only pick licenses that appeal to everyone, Rolling Stones doesn't get made.

wasn't rolling stones mainly marketed to the european audience? wasn't that where STERN thought they'd make their money on this pin?

i apologize if i'm off on this..........it's just what i've been told by folks more "connected" than i am.

My guess is that it will be MIB. Third version of the movie coming in 2012.

True, Stones skews older- but there's no blood and gore. Rock 'n Roll is pretty universal, appealing to all ages, and men & women.
