From what I understand, there are two variations on the Scramble side art. 1 version is a large STERN logo, and another is some spaceman theme. Is one more desireable than the other?

I think the spaceman was on the first run of these and they later switched to the generic logo stencil later.

Yes, I would say the spaceman theme is the one you want. Cool art on Scramble, the cpo is also cool. Here is a picture of mine, very fun game!

I say Spaceman. I recently used Rich's stencils from This Old Game to do mine.

The spaceman side-art rocks and I like it more than the generic Stern side seen so often with Super Cobra, etc. BTW, there are two versions of the spaceman side-art, one in yellow as seen above and one in sky blue, which is pretty uncommon. I have seen two cabinet with that sky blue side-art.

The Stern logo cabinets seem very generic and blah to me. The Spaceman guy artwork is pretty good. I also like the tank artwork on The End. I really like the cartoon artwork on Bagman. One of these years, I really want to find a Bagman. After a Super Pac upright, I consider it to be my grail.

I'm not a fan of the STERN logo version. The design actually looks kind of amateurish to me. I really like the spaceman version though - in fact, it's probably my favorite side art design of any game. It's baffling to me why they decided to ditch it in favor of the plain logo.
