Stern Pooyan Silk screened CPO's - checking interest in having these reproed ?

Hello everyone,

I have been talking a bit with Rich@thisoldgame and Brian (Prok) about possibly having the Stern Pooyan CPO reproduced. If we do them they would be silkscreened on plexi like the originals. Basically what I need to know is the interest in this project on the board to see if it is worth doing this project. Most likely it will be a pre-order situation but that has not be set yet. The idea is in the very early stages. Let me know your thaughts about these being reproed.

thanks, Rich

p.s. : there might be a possibility of the Pooyan Marquee being reproed too but that would be dictated by the success of the cpo.

might do bagman at the same time, exact same plexi's. Same cabinet for both too, i have one here just haven't gotten to it yet to program into the cnc. Just throwing it out there, if your going to do the plexi's may save money to do both projects.

i got the sideart, still in the box. Didn't know he did cpo's mine is covered in cigarette burns.

Yes I definitely want the cpo and marquee. And I know someone who has a pooyan with a busted cpo that I believe they would definitely replace if a repro was available so you can probably count this as two. I just need to contact the guy as he doesn't post here.

bagman cpo

Did you check with Rich to see if he has any Bagman cpo's left ? I know they are not on his site anymore but you never know.

Seriously looking at these right now doing silkscreened art on laser cut acrylic. I'm guessing these would have to sell in the 60.00 each range and i'd need a prepaid preorder of 12 pieces to be reasonably confident in going forward. This is a niche piece so would be a short run, not one i'm willing to take a financial bath on but if it can break even i'd do it.

I assume you are saying you would need 12 pre orders for the cpo to run the cpo and 12 pre orders for the marquee to run the marquee? or a minimum of 12 each to make it happen. Even at $60 I would be in for 1 marquee and 1 cpo. I think my buddy would still want 1 cpo at $60. Although if we were considering either the cpo or the marquee I know I'd rather have the curved marquee over the cpo. I could live with a printed cpo mounted under plexi for the cpo if I had to. The uniqueness of the curved marquee makes it harder to find a replacement that looks close enough to the original. BTW $60 for each piece is not a bad price considering these items don't pop up much and when they do they are pricey. I've seen an original marquee fetch over $100.

Vectoring is going slow on this one as i'm drawing Venture sideart and Kung Fu Master sideart at the same time but it is slowly getting done.

If need be, I will take 2 of each and GUNSMOKE will probably take a set too.

Yea, I remember that.. whoever was working on it was just photoshop retouching, not vectoring :(
