stern journey???

Bumping this one. What's the deal with Stern's Journey?

Did they also release it under a different name (like Cinematronics's Zzyzzyxx / Brix)? No info on it in the usual places, no arcadeflyers.com, no klov entry, etc. What gives?

There it is...right there next to Moon Patrol...

Judging from the Starcade episodes, it's nearest relatives are Bosconian, Time Pilot '84, and Sinistar. Guess that's all the info we have so far, you'd think at least one would have turned up in CA or Chicago by now.

I have one episode at the end, where host Geoff Edwards plays the game at the end.

thaks for bumping this someone's got to know something about this!!! all the experts and ops gotta know something. anybody ever play it?

Man, that Starcade pic has a bunch or obscure games in it! Guzzler, Buck Rogers, Dorodon, and whatever that Data East game is.

Journey

Hey Black Matrix, put he dope pipe down and read the entire post. The poster clearly said next to the Moon Patrol... Hello!!! Hey, what episode number is that on? I have the entire collection.. Have not had time to watch them all.

OP said episode 47...looks like you need to put the pipe down too :D

I think the OP and anyone else interested in it saw it several times on Starcade BITD. The Starcade intro clip is good for anyone just stumbling into the thread, but it doesn't offer any new insight into this little seen game.

Without playing it, the game looks pretty good. With the billion mediocre classic space games, you'd think at least one of these would have turned up in someone's home game room by now. Maybe it has, but the owner doesn't frequent the internet?

Was it widely distributed? Does anyone remember their local hangout having this game? Did Starcade get all the Stern Journey machines? It was featured on Starcade pretty often, and was on their "name the game" board. Good advertising for Stern if the game ever hit the arcades.

Other than showing that you are a douche, was this comment intended to be useful?
